A new restaurant is coming soon to the former location of Kilburn's Tavern at 12910 Malcomson Road, Houston.

Owners Robert Gazdek and Rick Cantu are targeting April 1 for the opening of Crafthouse Grill. The new grill will offer traditional American cuisine, including craft burgers and beer, in a relaxing neighborhood environment, Gazdek said. It will offer outdoor patio space and will be decorated with historical photos and items depicting the Houston and Cypress areas, he said.

Gazdek and Cantu have each been in the restaurant business in the Houston area for more than 25 years, having worked at every position from dishwasher through manager.

"We've been talking about this for years, and now we're finally getting the opportunity to do it," Gazdek said. "We're going to be very hands-on."
