A new Walmart location is under construction in Cypress and expected to be completed by spring 2025, officials with the retail corporation confirmed in an email Sept. 17.

The details

Per the email, the new Cypress location will feature improved layouts, expand product selections and innovative technology.

The new location will also offer:
  • Online pickup and delivery operations, with 45 dedicated parking stalls
  • A walk-in fuel station with eight pumps that service 16 customers at a time
  • A pharmacy with a health services room, pharmacy drive-thru and vision center
  • Enhanced apparel with baby, home, and pet departments
  • A full grocery offering
  • A mother’s room
  • An auto care center

Additionally, Walmart officials said the company plans to build or convert 150 stores over the next five years. According to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation the 203,790-square-foot Cypress project has an estimated cost of $15.2 million.
