Drive-thru coffee franchise Scooter’s Coffee closed its Jersey Village location on June 1. According to a note posted at the business, interest rates tripling and the cost of goods doubling since 2021 “have made it impossible to profit and stay in business.”

The business served hot, cold and blended coffee beverages; smoothies; teas; breakfast sandwiches; and baked goods. This location opened in November 2022. A few other locations continue to operate in the Houston area, including one south of Copperfield and one off Spring Cypress Road in Spring.
