A local counseling center has a new name and a new owner as of Dec. 1. Kristin King, who joined the Amy Wine Counseling Center staff as clinical director in 2021, purchased the practice from former owner Amy Wine and rebranded the business as Sequoia Counseling Center, officials said.

Located at 17920 Huffmeister Road, Ste. 150, Cypress, the counseling center continues to provide the same services, including counseling for children, teens, adults, families and couples. Specialties include Christian counseling, autism spectrum disorder, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, and IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback.
