Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar has recognized Harris County Emergency Services District No. 11 with a Transparency Star for excellence in Traditional Finances, according to a May 29 news release.

What it means

Local government entities are eligible for this recognition when they provide “easy online access to important financial data,” officials said.

“It’s not enough to spend money wisely,” ESD 11 Chief Financial Officer Tony Farmer said in the release. “It’s about making it easy for community members to stay informed about where their money is going. This collaboration allows us to take care of the public while also remaining accountable.”
