Stageworks Theatre will host multiple children's camps throughout June and July. The one-week camps have themes including Superheroes, Under the Sea and Broadway Baddies in various age ranges. The performance camps offered are from Disney films, such as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Frozen” and “Finding Nemo.” Camp classes are performance and skill-based for all ages and all levels of experience.

June 7: See Houston Astros mascot Orbit at the library

The Lone Star College-CyFair Library will host the Houston Astros’ mascot, Orbit, at two reading shows for ages 4 and up. Orbit kicks off the summer reading program by talking about the importance of reading all summer long.

June 9-July 7: Take part in parents night out at iCode School

The iCode School hosts a kids game night while giving their parents a break. The kids can play games such as Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite.

Backyard Grill will have fun events on tap for children this summer including a crafts-themed Father's Day event June 14, face painting June 28, and kids bingo June 21 and July 5.June 19-23: Shoot hoops at a summer basketball camp

Recreational program company i9 Sports will host a summer basketball camp for area children ages 5-13. Children are provided instruction geared toward improving skills from paid instructors certified by i9 Sports. Each instructor has an athletic background and experience working with young athletes. June 19-23: Jam out at School of Rock 101 summer camp

The School of Rock Cypress will host its Rock 101 camp for beginners ages 7-12. Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities, and work on songs throughout the week. The course culminates in a performance for family and friends on stage Friday.
