The Texas Department of Transportation is adding turn lanes at FM 149 and Hwy. 105 in Montgomery. The project was 26% complete as of an Oct. 27 report from TxDOT, the most recently available information.

The proposed project spans 12.4 miles through Magnolia, Conroe and The Woodlands and includes adding left-turn lanes at major intersections, a raised median through the length of the project and upgrading or installing several traffic signals.
Montgomery City Council approved a comprehensive downtown master plan Nov. 9 to improve parking, pedestrian experiences and streetscapes. The plan includes a variety of projects up to 10 years out, totaling more than $12.25 million.
