Conroe City Council approved nearly $1.9 million in heavy equipment purchases May 28, moving forward with several vehicle replacements aimed at supporting the city’s ongoing public works operations.
The details
The council approved the fiscal year 2025-26 VERF heavy equipment replacement bids for a total of $1.87 million. The purchases will go to four vendors: Cleveland Mack Sales Inc., doing business as Performance Truck; Holt Truck Centers; Houston Freightliner; and Monk JCB, according to city documents.
The replacement list includes equipment such as dump trucks, an excavator, a street sweeper, a jet truck and an asphalt patch truck.
