Newly filed campaign finance reports show candidates in two of Montgomery County's Republican primaries increasing fundraising and spending as the March election approaches.
Wayne Mack will face incumbent Mark Keough for Montgomery County judge in the Republican primary election, and Bob Harvey will face incumbent Charlie Riley for Montgomery County Precinct 2 commissioner. The reports cover activity primarily from July 2025 through Feb. 21, 2026.

Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough reported raising $37,800 in total political contributions and spending $71,587 in total political expenditures during the most recent reporting period ending Feb. 21, according to filings.
Among itemized contributions in that filing, one of the largest listed was a $10,000 donation from the Texas Association of Realtors PAC, along with a loan to himself totaling $30,000.
Earlier filings covering July through December 2025 showed Keough reported $69,085 in contributions and $88,716.77 in expenditures.
Republican challenger Wayne Mack reported higher fundraising totals during the latest period, listing $139,308.98 in political contributions and $261,063.04 in political expenditures.
The largest itemized contributions listed in his Jan. 23-Feb. 21 report were a $10,000 donation from Cowl Spur Development and a $25,000 donation from Conroe resident Mary McClanahan.
A previous filing covering the second half of 2025 showed Mack reported $261,668.14 raised and $290,472.68 spent, signaling an early campaign push ahead of the primary.
Unopposed Democratic candidate James Graf reported comparatively limited activity in filings submitted ahead of the election, with no large-dollar pattern comparable to the Republican field.

In the Republican primary for Montgomery County Precinct 2 commissioner, incumbent Charlie Riley reported $20,830.26 in political contributions and $79,012.59 in political expenditures during the latest reporting period.
Riley previously reported $255,668 raised and $137,019 spent during the July-December 2025 reporting window.
Looking at itemized contributions in his July-December 2025 filing, one of the largest listed was a $10,000 donation from Fulshear resident Nick Alanis.
Challenger Bob Harvey reported $3,698.06 in contributions and $14,197.90 in expenditures in his most recent filing. Earlier reports showed Harvey reported $3,188 raised and $13,615 spent in late 2025 as his campaign activity increased heading into the primary. However, reports show smaller-dollar fundraising compared to Riley’s operation heading into the primary.
