Sept. 2-3: Visit a wellness expo

Wellness Expo will host an event where attendees can visit with over 60 body, mind and spirit vendors. Attendees will get to shop for breakthrough nutritional products, energized jewelry and stones; and experience bodywork.

Sept. 7: Attend a concert in Conroe

Conroe’s concert series will feature Let It Rock. The band gives a tribute to Bon Jovi, and the event also includes on-site food trucks, and outside food and drinks will be allowed. Glass containers are prohibited.Sept. 9: Go fishing

The city of Conroe will host a kid fishing derby that will involve a hands-on fishing experience. Participants may use their own fishing gear; however, limited poles and bait will be available. Trophies will be awarded. The derby is open to children age 16 and younger.

Sept. 14-17: Shop a sale for kids' gear


Just Between Friends will host a pop-up resale event for The Woodlands and Conroe area. The event will include over 200,000 items in good condition for 50%-90% off retail, neatly organized like a department store. Some items for sale will include clothing—sizes for infants through juniors—shoes, accessories, toys, baby gear, books, puzzles and games.

Sept. 16: Run for charity

Woodforest will host a charity run that will include a 10K run/walk sponsored by Insperity Invitational and a 5K run/walk sponsored by Convergint. Attendees are welcome to enjoy a family-friendly post race party with music, food and beverages, fun jumps, snow cones, and an awards ceremony. Proceeds benefit the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.Sept. 16: Visit a music festival in Montgomery

The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Montgomery Music in the Park festival with a main stage lineup of artists, including headliner Chad Cooke Band, Hayden Haddock, Payton Howie and Tre Gauthreaux. The event will also feature more than 40 vendors, a kids area, wine and beer gardens, wine slushies, and food trucks.
