Here are six events to attend in Conroe and Montgomery this weekend May 12-14.

May 12-14: Watch a pickleball tournament

Texas Foot Surgeons presents the Lake Conroe May-Day Classic, a three-day pickleball tournament hosted by Lake Conroe Pickleball at April Sound Country Club. Players ranging from beginners to expert will compete. Proceeds will benefit the Chapter 7-COVES chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse International.May 13: Learn about water safety

Montgomery County Public Health is partnering with multiple entities in Conroe and Montgomery to host a Water Safety Day at Lake Conroe Park. Families and children will learn how to be safe around water, including demonstrations on how use life jackets, how to designate a water watcher when young children are near water and learning ways to increase safety of all children around water. There will also be on-site instructors to teach hands-only CPR.

May 13: Attend a choir performance

The Montgomery County Choral Society is hosting a concert that will be Schubert and Sherbet themed with a performance of Schubert’s “Mass in G Major” in collaboration with the College Park High School Choral Department. In addition, there will be a Broadway medley. A reception will follow.

May 13: Catch a movie in Montgomery


The city of Montgomery will be hosting a movie night at the park with the movie “Coco” in May. The city will also allow local vendors to sell food items during the duration of the movie.

May 13: Laugh at a comedy show

The Table at Madeley is featuring Jerry Wayne Longmire for a stand-up comedy night with host Jeremy Link and special guests Lenny Vanhorn and Mason James ll.May 14: Attend a market at Margaritaville

Margaritaville is hosting a market where local vendors will showcase their work. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop local art, food and drink vendors.
