The next steps for two Lone Star College campus projects totaling $41.7 million were approved by the college system’s board of trustees on May 2.

Current situation

Under the May 2 consent agenda, which is made up of multiple items voted on in one motion, trustees authorized the chancellor to negotiate a construction manager at-risk contract for LSC-Montgomery's Magnolia Center, according to May 2 meeting documents. The contract is for an amount not to exceed $28.2 million with construction company Tellepsen.

Also under the consent agenda, trustees approved the negotiation of a construction manager at-risk contract for the Lone Star College-Houston North Victory expansion, according to meeting documents. The contract is for $13.5 million with contractor Durotech, Inc.

Diving deeper


As previously reported by Community Impact, the Magnolia Center will:
  • Measure 51,500 square feet
  • Be substantially completed by summer 2025
