Two-minute impact
The unanimously approved guaranteed maximum price for the Montgomery High School renovations include about $4.8 million in project alternates and about $21.2 million for the project’s base cost, according to MISD Chief Operations Officer Kris Lynn. According to a March 26 email from Lynn, the approved alternates include:
- Painting classrooms
- Replacing the Montgomery High School main campus roof
- Replacing the structured cabling in Montgomery High School's ninth-grade campus
Construction on the Montgomery High School renovations is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2025. The revamp will be funded by MISD's May 2022 $326.9 million bond.
