1. Lake Creek High School

Construction is ongoing at Lake Creek High School in MISD to add capacity for 900 more students, which includes adding a wing of classroom and lab spaces alongside an additional parking lot, according to the district. The project is expected to be finished ahead of the 2024-25 school year.

Estimated construction cost: $27.8 million

Timeline: May 2023-August 2024



2. Montgomery Junior High School

Renovations are slated to wrap up in August at Montgomery Junior High School. This includes technology infrastructure upgrades in all classrooms, upgrading lighting, reconfiguring the library and renovating the kitchen, according to the district.

Estimated construction cost: $7.36 million

3. Montgomery Elementary School

Renovations are also slated to be completed in August at Montgomery Elementary School. Items include upgrading technology infrastructure in all classrooms, upgrading lighting, reconfiguring and upgrading the library, renovating the kitchen, and adding restrooms to the gym. Additionally, the front entry to the school is being rebuilt, a project anticipated to improve safety and the function of welcoming visitors to the campus.

Estimated construction cost: $6.38 million

4. Lincoln Elementary School

Lincoln Elementary School has also been receiving upgrades this summer, including classroom technology upgrades, a full kitchen replacement, and the main entry being reconfigured for safety and functional improvements, according to the district. A new car rider line and parking lot configuration were also added to allow for more parking and a safer location for the campus’s playground. Gym and playground improvements will be completed later in the fall semester.

Estimated construction cost: $4.59 million

Montgomery ISD’s seventh elementary school is under construction near Lake Creek High School. Work on the new campus began with a groundbreaking in June. When completed, the school will span approximately 95,000 square feet and have a capacity of 900 students. It is expected to open ahead of the 2024-25 school year.

Estimated construction cost: $33.5 million

Timeline: June 2023-July 2024
