Chief Operations Officer Kris Lynn said construction is underway at Creekside Elementary School as well as the library remodel at Montgomery Junior High School.

The overview

During the June 27 Montgomery ISD board of trustees meeting, Lynn updated the board on project statuses from its $326.9 million bond approved in May 2022.

Projects under construction include:
  • An exterior entryway at Montgomery Elementary School as well as upgrades to the library and additional instructional spaces, and other renovations
  • Improvements to the parking area and driveway at Lincoln Elementary School
  • A remodel at Montgomery Junior High's library that includes new interactive learning spaces and an outdoor courtyard
  • Construction on Creekside Elementary, the district’s seventh elementary campus set to open for the 2024-25 school year
  • Lake Creek High School's $27.8 million Phase 2 expansion expected to be completed by August 2024
In addition, the district will soon begin the design phase for renovations at Lone Star, Madeley Ranch and Stewart Creek elementary schools.

According to previous reporting, a $326.9 million bond was approved by voters in May of last year and included a seventh elementary school, the expansion at Lake Creek High School and other projects.
