Montgomery ISD trustees have adopted five district goals as part of their strategic plan, which is expected to span three years. The goals are to improve in the following areas: academic achievement, safety, finance and operations, human capital, and communications and customer service.

Officials began working on the goals in February 2020, and the district is in the process of obtaining feedback from stakeholders and the community to develop key performance indicators for each goal through a series of town hall meetings beginning in January.

“It is important for us to develop this with as much stakeholder information as possible,” MISD Director of Communications Justin Marino said.

The first meeting will be Jan. 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Montgomery High School.

The board will also meet Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. for their regular board meeting. Agenda items are now noted to show which goal they align with.

Items on tonight's agenda include considering approval of a board resolution authorizing employee compensation and considering adoption of the district's legislative platform.
