Lincoln Elementary School will open for the 2018-19 school year Aug. 21 for pre-kindergarten through fifth graders. This Montgomery ISD school has a recommended capacity of 525 students, and the district anticipates an enrollment of approximately 460 students for the 2018-19 year. The school is located in the former Montgomery Intermediate School, at 700 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Montgomery. Lincoln Elementary underwent $5.87 million in renovations, including new flooring and paint, technology upgrades and new restrooms and fixtures. Lincoln Elementary School was originally slated to open August 2017, but the debut was postponed when MISD had to pay $3.1 million in recapture payments to the state from the 2017-18 year budget. Here’s a preview of the new school, as of Friday, Aug. 10. For more information on Lincoln Elementary School, click here. https://communityimpact.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_9091.jpg
