The Montgomery County Animal Shelter is waiving all adoption fees this weekend, Feb. 7-9, according to a Feb. 3 news release from the shelter.

The event
is part of Free the Shelters, an event dedicated to saving shelter animals from being euthanized that is sponsored by the Cathy Kangas Foundation for Animals, a nonprofit. It is co‐sponsored by PRAI Beauty, a cruelty-free skin care line.

The shelter has more than 300 animals in its building as well as 300 animals in foster care, according to the news release. Many of the animals are owner surrendered.

All adopted pets have been spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

The Montgomery County Animal Shelter is located at 8535 Hwy. 242 in Conroe. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from11:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with intakes ending at 4 p.m.
