The construction of “Big 6” continues with multiple mainlane closures in College Station throughout the week of June 15.
What you need to know
- June 15-16: Full closure on northbound mainlanes from University and Briarcrest drives, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Traffic will exit on Briarcrest Drive and reenter through the south. Ramp closures will begin at 7:30 p.m.
- The northbound Texas Avenue exit ramp will also be closed on June 16 for paving, starting at 7:30 p.m..
- June 17-19: Full closure on southbound mainlanes from Briarcrest Drive and Harvey Road, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
- Traffic will exit on University Drive and reenter north of Harvey Road. Ramp closures will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Texas Department of Transportation says two mainlanes in each direction will be usable throughout the construction. TxDOT is focusing on the mainlanes for the majority of work, along with the construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls.
