Brazos County Commissioners Court, at its March 10 meeting, will consider a request from Forensic Services to approve three position salaries totaling about $295,000 per year.
In the past, Brazos County has relied on outside resources for medical examiner services. The proposed personnel changes would add two full-time medicolegal death investigator positions at $40.87 per hour and one forensic operations manager at $60.10 per hour.

Other items commissioners are considering include:
- A request from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office to apply for a U.S. Department of Justice grant to help the county better combat human trafficking. The deadline to apply is March 11. A request to apply was submitted Feb. 27.
- Approval of early voting locations for the May 26 primary runoff election
What else?
Commissioners Court is also considering several infrastructure and development-related items:
- Utility permits for fiber optic installation along county roads by Comcast and Frontier. Much of this work is tied to improving broadband access and planned road improvement projects. Some of these roads include:
- Saddle Creek Drive (Comcast)
- Gun Oak Trail (Comcast)
- Dick Elliot Road (Frontier)
- Approval of changes to subdivision plats for areas in both Bryan and College Station. Some of these subdivisions include:
- Aggie Acres, Bertram Grove, which is in Precinct 1, College Station
- Fazzino Park, which is in Precinct 4, Bryan
