PREVIEW: Bryan ISD to approve targeted improvement plans for its intermediate schools

Bryan ISD trustees will hold a public hearing regarding targeted improvement plans for its intermediate schools at its Feb. 23 board meeting.

Items worth mentioning

At the meeting, Barbara Ybarra, associate superintendent of teaching and learning, and Jill Morris, director of accountability, research, evaluation, and assessment, will present to the board the targeted improvement plans for the following schools:

• Sadberry Intermediate School
• Long Intermediate School
• Rayburn Intermediate School
• SFA Middle School

In a presentation attached to the agenda documents, officials expect to talk about grant opportunities, partnerships within Education Service Center Region 6 and the process for implementing certain strategies to improve the campuses in different areas.

Also of note

Other agenda items include approval for Phase 3 of renovation projects for different elementary school campuses, approval of a purchase over $50,000 for the replacement of the water pipe at Crockett Elementary and approval of a purchase over $50,000 for special education buses.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Bryan ISD Administration Building, 801 S. Ennis St., Bryan. The meeting will also be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel.
