The Bagel Shop Bakery celebrates 45th anniversary in Houston

The Bagel Shop Bakery, located at 9720 Hillcroft Ave., Houston, is now 45 years old, the bakery announced in a news release Oct. 12.

The bagel bakery, which celebrated its 45th birthday on Oct. 14, shares space with New York Deli and Coffee Shop, its coffee shop and deli affiliate, though they were opened at different times, according to the restaurant website.


New York Bagels, as The Bagel Shop Bakery was first known, opened in 1975. The deli followed in 1981.

The restaurant continues to offer an array of bagel choices, as well as omelets, home fries and other deli food along with traditional breakfast offerings.
