Fans of breakfast and brunch in West University Place will have a new dining option.

Snooze West University is located near Rice University and the Texas Medical Center and will serve breakfast and brunch food items as well as a full bar, according to its website.

The restaurant held a soft opening March 18-19, according to company's corporate Facebook page.

“We’re thrilled to continue growing in Houston—already one of our biggest markets—with our West University location,” Snooze CEO David Birzon said in a news release. “As a mission-driven company, we look at growth not only in terms of opening more restaurants, but also in expanding our culture and ability to give back to new communities by partnering with amazing local organizations for our preopening weekend.”

The West U location will be managed by Lance Shelton and Head Chef Diana Chew, according to its website. Food options will include a selection of pancake flights, where more than one pancake flavor is served, as well as breakfast burritos and tacos. Alcoholic beverages include mimosas, margaritas and local craft beers.
