Formerly located in the Plaza in the Park, HearUSA officials confirmed with Community Impact on Sept. 30 that the West University Place location is permanently closed.

According to the business's website, HearUSA sells hearing aids that are created through innovative hearing technology and a customer-centric philosophy.

Store officials said clients of the West U location are being referred to the HearUSA San Felipe location, 1735 S. Voss Road, Houston, for continued patient coverage and for new appointments.

As of press time, officials did not provide a reason for the closure.
