Bellaire's Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Smith said in an Oct. 31 news release that the project was completed in partnership with the local nonprofit PATRONS for Bellaire.

“We are thrilled to work alongside PATRONS for Bellaire Parks to bring this much-needed addition to Lafayette Park,” Smith said. “This project is a great example of what we can accomplish when the city and our community partners come together to support our youngest residents.”
