Package 8 Asphalt Reconstruction

Project:
“Package 8” is set to tentatively include asphalt rehabilitations for Bern, Boden and Austin streets, with possible add-on alternates on Seventh Street and Landrum Avenue.

Update: The project has not yet gone out for bid.
  • Timeline: bid in spring 2026 and construction in summer 2026
  • Cost: estimated to cost $1.85M, but may have to phase construction due to budget constraints
  • Funding source: city reinvestment cash fund
FM 518 at Country Lane intersection Improvements

Project:
This is a full intersection rebuild at FM 518 and Country Lane, including signal upgrades, mast arm installation and safety enhancements.
  • Cost: construction budget $504,000
  • Timeline: estimated construction start in March, depending on delivery of traffic signal equipment; completion slated for fall 2026
  • Funding source: city reinvestment cash fund
League City Parkway and Walker Street intersection


Project:
Work includes a redesign of the intersection to add additional lanes and adjust drainage.

Update: Permitting from the Texas Department of Transportation is expected by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
  • Timeline: bidding to come in early 2026
  • Cost: $2.1 million
  • Funding source: Galveston County’s 2018 bond
