According to a July 18 League City news release, the project included not just widening the road between Abigail Lane and West NASA Road but adding a sidewalk as well as making drainage and utility improvements.
The project was one of several road projects set aside in the bond program voters approved in 2019.
“The city’s overall commitment to the citizens is to continue improving traffic connectivity and accommodating future growth and development in the region,” Project Manager Jaime Dino said in a video about the project.
The road work began in April 2022 and was originally expected to finish in April 2023.
