League City officials will vote on whether to award $3.2 million in contracts to improve the drainage system along FM 518 and South Wesley Drive.
The detailsLeague City City Council will consider a resolution at its Jan. 13 meeting to award $2.8 million, plus a $284,000 work change order, to Houston-based construction company Environmental Allies for the work.
The city will also consider awarding a $25,000 contract to engineering consultant Terracon Consultants, according to city documents.
If approved, the $3.2 million project will be funded from the Community Development Block Grant and the 2020 Proposition A Drainage Bond Program, according to city documents.
According to city documents, the project will include:
- Storm sewer replacement
- Roadway pavement restoration
- Traffic control
- Improvements associated with the drainage system outflowing into Corum Ditch
City Council will also consider an ordinance that would allow up to six golf carts or utility task vehicles to be parked on the grass at businesses that sell or repair those vehicles.
