League City Animal Care through July 19 will offer 50% off adoption fees, which are regularly around $75, city officials said in a July news release.

The discount is a result of the shelter’s participation in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Summer 2025 Empty the Shelters event, according to the news release.
BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters is the largest funded adoption event in the country, and since 2016, it has helped over 324,000 pets find homes.
