Sept 9: Katy Summer Nights Movies in the Park

The Katy Parks and Recreation department will host an outdoor showing of the 2000 film “Remember The Titans” as part of its Katy Summer Nights Movies in the Park series. Sept. 9: The Clubs of Kingwood Tin Cup Golf Tournament

Spanning across two golf courses, The Clubs of Kingwood Tin Cup Golf Tournament will begin with a breakfast buffet and end with a silent auction. Sept. 9: The Unknown Tour

The Unknown Tour provides women with 2.5 hours of comedy, worship, music and speaking sessions. The speakers will include Lauren Lucille, Sara Esquivel and Britni Bryan, among others. Sept. 10: KidFish

The city of Conroe hosts KidFish, a nonprofit outreach program providing a hands-on fishing experience for families. The event is for children age 16 and younger, and participants must register at the event; trophies will be awarded. Sept. 10: 14th annual Kleb Woods Hummingbird Festival

Bring the family out to the 14th annual Kleb Woods Hummingbird Festival. A guided nature walk, a tour of the Kleb House and blacksmith demonstrations will be available to guests throughout the day. Various presentations will also be given throughout the day. Sept. 10: Texas in a Pickle Festival

The third annual Texas in a Pickle Festival will be held in Kingwood Town Center. The festival’s approximately 75 artisan markets and food vendors will all have pickle-related items, and there will be a pickle-eating and pickle juice-drinking competition. Sept. 10-11: 9/11 21st Anniversary Remembrance Service

The city of Tomball will host a 9/11 21st anniversary remembrance service by lighting two spot lights at The Depot to symbolize the Twin Towers on Sept. 10. The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park will host a 9/11 observance event that will begin at the moment the first attack occurred at The World Trade Center in 2001. The event honors the first responders who died on 9/11.
