The grant will allow the college to cover Computing Technology Industry Association, or CompTIA, certification exam fees and materials for about 165 high school students, college students and young adults enrolled in select 2026 IT and cybersecurity programs, according to the release.
Supported programs include:
- Certificates in technology
- Associate of Applied Science
- Bachelor’s degrees in cybersecurity
The Deloitte Foundation’s Local Impact Grants initiative funds education-focused nonprofits nationwide, aiming to expand access to training and career opportunities in fields critical to local economies, according to the release.
“This grant reflects a commitment to helping build a well-prepared workforce for our region,” said Amanda Fenwich, interim executive director of the San Jacinto College Foundation.
