San Jacinto College has been awarded a $50,000 Local Impact Grant from the Deloitte Foundation to support students pursuing cybersecurity and information technology careers, according to a Jan. 14 news release from the college.
The details
The grant will allow the college to cover Computing Technology Industry Association, or CompTIA, certification exam fees and materials for about 165 high school students, college students and young adults enrolled in select 2026 IT and cybersecurity programs, according to the release.
Supported programs include:
- Certificates in technology
- Associate of Applied Science
- Bachelor’s degrees in cybersecurity
