Hawaii Fluid Art in League City is under new ownership, one of the business's new owners said.

The new owners, Adam and Mara Van de Mortel, soft opened the spot in early March under new management and are planning a grand opening event to celebrate the ownership change on May 3, Mara Van de Mortel said.
Being a franchise location, Mara Van de Mortel said the couple found the opportunity through a consultant. She said they were drawn to the business, adding that other painting and art-based businesses often restrict what patrons can do. Hawaii Fluid Art, however, allows you to "make the piece your own" through different classes, techniques and colors.
