The details
The total canvas of the fence, located on Anders Avenue, is 6 feet by 172 feet, with the primary focal area being 6 feet by 10 feet, according to an Oct. 13 news flash.
To be considered, artists must submit a proposal, including a letter of interest, portfolio and up to three mural design renderings by Oct. 24.
City staff will review all submissions and select one or more finalists. The finalist chosen will be asked to complete a detailed rendering of their final concept, for which they will receive a $200 stipend.
The budget
Artists are asked to submit a total project cost as part of their proposal. This cost should include all aspects of the mural’s creation, including but not limited to:
- Design
- Site preparation
- Materials
- Installation
- Any other necessary expenses
The selected artist will be notified by Nov. 4, and the mural is expected to be completed by Nov. 28.
