I-45 North Freeway to undergo bridge repairs bringing lane closures

The I-45 North freeway at Crosstimbers Street will undergo bridge repairs, leaving singular north and southbound lanes open with each side’s closures alternating by direction, per a Texas Department of Transportation news release.

What’s happening?

Beginning July 10 at 9 p.m. until July 11 at 11 a.m., the Airline Drive entrance ramp and innermost three left southbound lanes will close, leaving one lane open. Southbound closures will stretch from Tidwell Road to Loop 610 North.

According to the news release, the affected southbound lanes could reopen sooner than expected, depending on the contractor’s ability to safely complete the bridge repairs.

From July 11 at 11 a.m.-5 p.m., once southbound construction is completed, the three innermost northbound lanes will close, leaving one lane open from Loop 610 North to Airline Drive.
