Here are eight fine dining restaurants near Downtown Houston that will be open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. This list is not comprehensive, and details are subject to change.
Christmas Eve Dining
Trattoria Sofia
The Houston Heights restaurant serves authentic, rustic Italian food in an intimate, romantic setting, with a focus on seasonal items and fresh ingredients. Popular pastas include the cacio e pepe, lamb ragu and shrimp scampi.
The fine-dining steakhouse on Washington Avenue will be open Christmas Eve, serving Royal White Sturgeon Caviar, Snake River Farms Pork Chop and brisket ravioli.
The restaurant will be serving a selection of chef-crafted seasonal dishes such as the dry-aged duck breast with foie gras dirty rice and Viet-Cajun curry butter, and the bluefin tuna belly tataki with roast tomato ponzu, baby bok choy and pickled daikon.
The Michelin-starred French fine-dining restaurant is serving specialties such as lobster and chanterelle vol-au-vent, kale-ricotta gnudi, steelhead trout and cranberry nougat for dessert.
Open 4-9 p.m. on Christmas Eve; 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Christmas Day
The hotel is serving a three-course Christmas feast, with starters such as wild mushroom soup with truffled sourdough croutons, short rib gnocchi in black truffle sauce and an apple walnut salad with dried cranberries.
