Led by the owners of Heights & Co. and Lazy Lane, The Green Room is expected to be a new, carefully curated culinary destination that will debut March 5 in the Heights.

Described as an intimate 26-seat restaurant, owners Brian Doke and Evin Woods announced the concept in a Feb. 20 news release.
"We've always believed Houston deserves experiences that feel exciting but never intimidating," Doke said. "With The Green Room, we set out to create something ambitious yet approachable, where food is elevated, the wine over delivers and hospitality feels personal from the moment you walk in."
The Green Room will be helmed by James Beard Award-winning Chef de Cuisine Tom Cunanan, who operates the Bad Saint, an acclaimed 15-seat restaurant in Washington, D.C.
How it works
The restaurant is set up to offer guests a more intimate, technique-driven and hospitality-forward dining experience, according to the release. That means the restaurant's chef-driven dinner menu will change monthly, with an optional five-course Chef's Dinner Party experience that includes a complimentary wine pour or cocktail.

Guests can also order à la carte from the full dinner menu. The menu offers items such as dry-aged duck with dark cherry jus and the chef's nightly steak with pommes dauphinoise. Appetizers include cast-iron Parkerhouse rolls, tuna tartare and scallop crudo, with desserts such as Ferrero Rocher tiramisu and profiteroles.
The drink menu
The Green Room will also offer a wine program that spotlights grower champagnes and iconic estates, as well as rotating Cellar Series that features premium pours such as Burnello di Montalcino, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Sancerre and red and white burgundy.
Per the release, a mix of seasonally focused and classic cocktails will also be available.

In their own words
"It's no secret that Houstonians are looking for new experiences when dining out," Doke and his partner Evin Woods said. "We're trying to meet them where they are, where the experience feels curated without being pretentious and elevated without losing warmth."
The Green Room will be located adjacent to Heights & Co. and will be open Tuesday through Sunday with varying hours, including brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
