HMotorsTX, a family-owned and operated private auto dealership, officially began servicing in Montrose in early June, co-owner Ian Hartman confirmed.
The local automobile business buys and sells a variety of used makes and models, which are all viewable on its website. As of late July, its vehicle listings include Teslas, Hyundais and Chevrolets among other pickups and SUVs, per the site.
How it works
Aside from scrolling through its website, drivers with specific automobile preferences can also utilize HMotorsTX’s online car finder portal to leave a ‘shopping request,’ indicating what they are in the market for and their desired price range, model, mileage, manufacturer date and the overall condition of the car.
HMotorsTX will use these requests to narrow down the options of vehicles for sale to a select few that fit each customer’s needs. Hartman said that all of the dealership’s cars are “100% reconditioning complete” by the time they become available for viewing and sale.
The co-founder explained that their partnership with eBay Motors allows them to create a more streamlined and secure process for customers when they are making a purchase.
About the owners
Hartman, who has over 20 years of experience in the automobile industry, explained that HMotorsTX began after his close friend, David, approached him with an invitation to start a car business together. The Bellaire native agreed, which led him to fulfill his long-time dream of one day running his own auto dealership.
David Ebro, also co-owner of HMotorsTX, shares Hartman’s passion for vehicles as an industrial real estate developer and a licensed attorney in Texas, according to the website.
The duo launched HMotorsTX with the mission to provide a local service to drivers in the Montrose area that is rooted in relationship building and careful attention to detail, Hartman said.

At the time of publishing, HMotorsTX is taking in-person customers at its Montrose location by appointment only.
Customers may email or call the dealership’s main office along Yoakum Boulevard to book appointments and send inquiries related to the inventory, pricing and other details of current listings.
