The City Council approved a memorandum of understanding between the city of McKinney and Dallas-Fort Worth Intelligent Transportation System Partners regarding guiding principles for multiagency communications, data and video sharing, according to city documents.
The council also approved an agreement with Google to join the Waze Connected Citizen’s Program. The program is free to join and is a two-way data exchange program, which will give users more data, including road closures and traffic jams.
George Webb Park
Also approved during Tuesday’s meeting was a site plan for George Webb Park. Located at 1400 Millbend Drive, site plans for the 11.38-acre park include a play structure, swings, musical stations, pavilions, a basketball court, trails and an interactive water pump as part of a dry river bed feature.
