Voters in the Austin Community College District will choose candidates this November for three of the nine seats on the ACC board of trustees. The board positions are at-large seats, elected by voters throughout the taxing district for six-year terms to provide leadership for the community college. Dr. Betty Hwang was elected to the ACC board of trustees in 2012 and will not run for re-election this November. Taking her place will be one of three candidates vying for the board seat: Stephanie Gharakhanian, Douglas Gibbins or Sarah Mills. You can find a Q&A with incumbent Barbara P. Mink and challenger Mitch Fuller for the Place 7 seat here. On Monday, Community Impact Newspaper will feature a Q&A with Place 9 candidates Julie Ann Nitsch and Lora H. Weber. Candidates were limited to responses of 75 words or fewer.
