Snakey Lane resurfacing complete in Grapevine

Snakey Lane in Grapevine has been repaved as part of an interlocal agreement between Tarrant County Commissioners Court and the city of Grapevine.

Public Works Director Bryan Beck said the county wrapped up the work the week of Oct. 14. He said there are guardrails that will need to be replaced and that project will go to the city council soon for approval.

Tarrant County provided for the labor and equipment while the city of Grapevine paid for the materials, traffic control and half of the fuel costs, according to city documents.

The estimated cost of the project was $360,000 and was approved during the Aug. 6 council meeting.

The repair of the road was needed after the installation of a 15-inch sanity sewer line earlier this summer, according to city documents. The resurfacing was for 4,465 linear feet on Snakey Lane, from Silvercrest Lane to Kimball Avenue.
