Grapevine City Council approved $209,054 at its July 19 meeting as part of an agreement to share costs on five projects through the Texas Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Improvement Program.
The program targets projects that eliminate or reduce fatalities and serious injuries. Funding will be split between Grapevine’s capital projects streets fund and TxDOT. Construction on the projects is expected to begin this fall.
Here are the projects and their total costs:
A) Wrong-way driving detector will be installed on SH 121 at the southbound exit ramp to Grapevine Mills Trail. This will cost $137,192.
