Winewood is the polar opposite of Bob's Steak & Chop House, both owned by Steve Hartnett's family.
There are no windows inside Bob's, making it a dark atmosphere and often smoky when customers light up. Over- sized photos of The Rat Pack decorate the walls.
Just next door, American restaurant Winewood caters to a different audi- ence. Winewood's linear design and dcor are inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright: steel, stone, glass and metal. Diners can glimpse into the kitchen or outside from where they sit. Winewood opened in July 2011.
"We wanted something that was light and airy, so 50 percent of the building is windows," said Monte Morris, the general manager. "Bob's is without patios, so we built an enclosed patio that's air conditioned for the eight months out of the year where the weather is either too hot or too cold."
