FM 1938 Phase 2

Construction at the FM 1938 and FM 1709 intersection in Southlake has reached substantial completion with all lanes opened at the end of December. Some daily lane closures during off-peak periods can still be expected to finish work in the medians, around the perimeter of the intersection and to place the permanent traffic signals. North of the intersection, crews continue to reconstruct the new southbound lanes between Fawkes Lane and Florence Road, which includes a new retaining wall located along the west side of FM 1938. Construction is also continuing on some of the remaining side streets connecting from the west side of FM 1938.

SH 26 Phase 2

Motorists can expect to see the installation of temporary pavement and temporary driveways at various locations in February. Various lane closures are possible from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and SH 26 could be reduced to one lane, weather permitting.

The Colleyville project is from John McCain Road to Brown Trail and consists of the widening of SH 26 from four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane to six lanes with raised-curb medians with left-turn bays, continuous sidewalks and improved signals.

SH 121 expansion

In February, workers will continue with concrete paving for the new northbound main lanes of SH 121. Also, crews will continue concrete paving on the southbound frontage road south of the Denton Creek U-turn. When complete the project will widen SH 121 from four lanes to 10 lanes between Grapevine Mills Boulevard in Grapevine and the Sam Rayburn Tollway/Business 121 split in Lewisville.

SH 114 widening

Main lane paving is expected to be complete in February. Bridge bents for the overpass were being built in January, and beams for the bridge are expected to be delivered and installed beginning in February and wrapping up in April. When complete the project will widen SH 114 from four lanes to six lanes between Trophy Lake Drive in Trophy Club and Kirkwood Boulevard in Southlake.
