Southlake is considering plans for sidewalks at five places in the city for 2013, and a sixth large project along Southlake Boulevard will start early next year.
Val Lopez of the Texas Department of Transportation said about 13,000 square feet of new sidewalk will go in along Southlake Boulevard from Pearson Lane to Hwy. 114. The $1.3 million project, being constructed by Jagoe-Public Company should be finished in late fall or early winter, he said.
That project is being overseen by TxDOT.
The city budget allocates $400,000 for sidewalks this year. Staff members recommended these projects at a City Council work session Dec. 4:
