Straight-razor shaves, haircuts that include hot lather treatment and men's manicures are just a few services available at Finley's, Peterson said. "[Customers] have seen it or always wanted it," he said of the treatments his shops offer.

A unique service Peterson said many customers balk at but end up loving is nose waxing.

"It sounds painful, but they keep coming back," he said.

The waiting room at Finley's features leather seats, televisions and reading material. Beer and other beverages are also available, said Erik Wolfe, manager at the Southlake location.

Unlike some other places to get men's haircuts, Finley's offers a slower, more relaxed experience, Peterson said. Customers come in to "get away from it for a while," not just to get a haircut and leave, he said.

"Every service is based on how we'd want to be treated," Peterson said. Each Finley's location is held to the same quality standard, he added.

"It's about consistency and quality," Peterson said.

The cost of a trim

Prices range from $11 (beard and mustache trim) to $98 (Finley's Ultimate Experience, which includes a shave, cut and manicure).

Finley's Perfect Shave ($42), Chairman's Facial ($45) and Head Shave ($30) are some of the treatments offered.

The Executive Hand Detail ($30) and waxing services ($18, eyebrow, nose or ear) are two of the more unique services available.
