Southlake OKs 7 projects for pickleball complex, businesses, churches

Several businesses and organizations in Southlake got the green light from City Council to start or continue their projects.

Southlake City Council approved several permits for properties in the city at its June 20 meeting. All permits were approved unanimously.

The projects

The following businesses and churches received approval for site plans, zoning changes or permits.

• SiteOne Landscape Supply, which offers irrigation tools and yard maintenance products, had its site plan approved. The business will be located at 1635 Brumlow Ave. and will be 8,500 square feet.
• White’s Chapel Methodist Church's site plan for two outdoor shade structures at the church's play area and a welcome booth at the church, which is at 185 S. White Chapel Blvd., was approved. The proposed shade structures are royal blue, which falls under the city’s six restricted Pantone colors.
• A commercial building near Southlake Town Square had its site plan approved. The building's address is 671 State St., Southlake, and is located near the Granite Place Two building. The one-story building is intended to be a regional bank, according to city documents.
• The permit for The Well Fit Studio, which will provide rehabilitation and wellness services, was approved. The business will be located in Southlake at 2845 Exchange Blvd., Ste. 140. Southlake's Planning and Development Services Director Dennis Killough said it will offer one-on-one and small group physical fitness training.
• Faith Baptist Church, 8850 Davis Blvd., Southlake, had a zoning change and site plan approved for a creative arts studio and a gazebo to be added to the property. The studio will include instructional classes and retail sales, city documents stated.
• A zoning change and site plan for Hart Industrial Park, located at 1601-1611 Hart St., was approved to house a small animal hospital to the property. The animal hospital will still need approval of its own special use permit, city documents stated.

Also on the agenda

• Council approved an easement to run electricity from Oncor Electricity Delivery to Southlake's Pickleball Complex located at Bicentennial Park. The electricity will be delivered from an existing transformer located next to the Tennis Center to a new transformer next to the pickleball complex, city documents stated.
