Pavilion designs for Grapevine Golf Course approved for $4.7M

Designs for The Grapevine Golf Course concourse and pro shop were approved by Grapevine City Council on Sept. 3 with a final guaranteed maximum price of $4,728,427.

The details

The pro shop will be transformed into a large pavilion including a warming kitchen and storage areas, and the bathrooms will be repositioned. The architects tried to use as much of the old structure as they could when redesigning the building.

A portico will be built between the two buildings to connect them and have an entryway to either into the pavilion or the concourse. In the concourse, the conference room and offices were removed to create a pre-function space. The commercial kitchen will be reduced to create a large open space for functions as well as two green rooms.

The background

Oxley Williams Tharp Architects of Fort Worth have been working on the project for the past 12 months with Franz Pittman Construction as the construction manager after city council approved the project in August 2023.

“I could not be more pleased with where we are,” council member Sharron Rogers said. “I think it’s going to be a lovely project. ... It’s going to be something, I think, that the citizens are going to be very proud of and enjoy using.”

What's next?

Construction will begin this September, according to Trevor Khoury, Vice President of Texas Operations for Fransen Pittman Construction. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2025.
