The city of Colleyville rescheduled Mayor Richard Newton’s State of the City to Feb. 9 due to the inclement weather forecast for Feb. 2 and 3.
The address was originally planned to be done once during the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce luncheon at 11 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. on Feb. 3. According to newsletters from the city and the chamber, both will be rescheduled for Feb. 9.
According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm watch is in effect for the Dallas-Fort Worth area from 6 p.m. Feb. 2 through 6 p.m. Feb. 3. Snow accumulations of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of up to one-third of an inch are possible throughout North Texas.
The morning event will now take place at the Colleyville Center during the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Colleyville Center, 5301 Riverwalk Drive, according to the chamber’s website.
