The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport board of directors approved 15 new concessions offerings across four terminals at the June 4 meeting.
Eleven of the 15 approved will be in still-under-construction Terminal F, which is slated to open in 2027, according to previous reporting. The mix of offerings will include popcorn, desserts, acai, fried chicken and pretzels, according to a news release and board documents.
“These new concessions reflect what we want the DFW experience to be: local, memorable and built around the needs of today’s traveler,” said Ken Buchanan, DFW’s executive vice president/chief revenue officer. “As DFW Forward brings new gates and modernized spaces online, we are using that momentum to create more opportunities for local businesses, expand customer choice and bring the character of North Texas into the terminals.”

Popeyes, Wetzel’s Pretzels, Whataburger and Panda Express are among some of the restaurants approved by the board. The contracts awarded are for either 10 years or 12 years.
The list of new places includes:
Mama Moore’s Gourmet Popcorn, Terminal A, Gate A20 and Terminal B, Gate B27
- Founded by Debra Moore, a U.S. Army veteran, the company is based in Grand Prairie.
Cookie Society, Terminal B, Gate B19- Founded by Marissa and Jeff Allen in Frisco, the husband-and-wife team serves gourmet cookies with multiple Dallas-Fort Worth area locations.
Audrey’s Popcorn, Terminal E, Gate E34- A Grapevine popcorn brand, founded by Audrey Harrison when she was 5 years old, has been selling products at DFW Airport, Dallas Love Field and George Bush International Airport.
Panda Express, Terminal B, Gate B20- The Asian quick-service restaurant has another location in Terminal E.
Stockyards Bar & Grill/Cowtown Supply Co., Terminal F, Gate F29- A Fort Worth-inspired destination concept offering food, coffee and local artisan goods from The Cowtown Canteen and Cowtown Supply Company.
Popeyes, Terminal F, Gate F29- A national chain known for fried chicken and Cajun offerings has another location in Terminal A.
Monkey Bar by Mi Cocina and Lone Star Local Market, Terminal F, Gate F17- Mi Cocina’s bar in Dallas features premium tequila, mezcals and cocktails with select food bites such as crispy tacos and nachos tejanos. Lone Star Local Market will have Texas-inspired gifts.
Whataburger, Terminal F, near Gate F17- The Texas burger joint will add another DFW location, with locations in Terminals D and E and one in Terminal B under construction.
Nekter Juice Bar, Terminal F, Gate F27- A juice and smoothie store has 17 locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Sambazon, Terminal F, Gate F17- A frozen treat concept offers organic and vegan acai offerings.
Wetzel’s Pretzels, Terminal F, Gate F17- Sells a variety of pretzels, all-beef Wetzel Dogs and flavored lemonades.
Ampersand Coffee, Terminal F, Gate F17- A Fort Worth-based business, with a spot in Terminal C, will add another cafe experience to Terminal F.
The Bridge, Terminal F, Gate F26- A travel essentials concept offers everyday convenience.
What else?Some of the newly approved concepts include community-driven initiatives through nonprofits, according to a news release.
The Bridge will partner with The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center and UpSpire to support workforce development and recovery help, with up to 5% of sales dedicated to those organizations.
Stockyards Bar & Grill and Cowtown Supply Co. have committed to supporting Friends of The Fort Worth Herd through annual contributions totaling $1.2 million over the life of the lease. The Herd is the twice-daily cattle drive in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
