The Colleyville City Council approved bringing back its advertising grant and gift card programs for the holiday season at its Oct. 4 meeting.
The Colleyville Gives advertising program helps Colleyville businesses with their fourth quarter advertising and marketing, according to the city’s website. To do so, the program gives companies a $1,000 grant for an advertising campaign during the holiday season and offers an additional $1,000 grant to businesses that make a $500 donation to an area nonprofit.
Colleyville Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said at the meeting that the Colleyville Gives program has led to $62,816.56 in charitable donations over the past two years.
To be eligible for the advertising program, businesses must be located within city limits, collect sales tax, complete the program’s application, complete a W-9 form, run an advertisement with Colleyville Gives by Dec. 31, 2021, and submit proof of the advertisement to the city, the website stated.
